Source of Financial Information for Public Listed Companies

When talking my Process #1 in "Infinite Wealth" on identifying good quality counters, a number of my readers are asking about where to get the historical prices for public listed companies.  Well, there are some web pages who are providing the required information for free while others might need you to pay to get it.  Here, I would like to share some web sites that I have been using for my stock investment analysis.

1. Yahoo!Finance:  This is an US based web site that contains historical price of public listed companies in many countries.  You do not need to be a member to access the service.  What you need to do is to go to the web site and key-in the company name you are looking for.  Subsequently, choose the full name of the company from the drop down list will do.  Yahoo!Finance is not only containing historical price information for a number of years, it also provides a basic charting tool for ease of analysis.

2. The Star Online: Business:  It is a Malaysian based web site that contains not only historical prices for the past two years, but also provides some basic financial information as well as research report for free.  What you need to do is to visit the site and key-in the short code of the counter you are interested in over the box at upper right hand corner.  Select "Stocks" from the drop down list beside the box and search.  That is it.

Hope the above suggestion will help you to obtain more relevant information for effective investment decision.

All the best and good luck.
